During the 2017 award season, Viola Davis racked up a lot of nominations and wins for her supporting role in the movie, Fences
. And she did the rounds of shows and parties wearing a variety of chic short hairstyles. One of them was this chin-length bob, which she sported at the Women in Film pre-Oscar cocktail party. While there are so many versions of the bob, what we love about this one is its sleekness, bounce, and volume.
To get the actress' look, you need a good hair dryer, a round brush, and a couple of hair products for priming and volumizing. And some good blowout skills, too.
Start by spritzing on a primer to protect your hair from the heat of blow drying. Next, apply a volumizing mousse to help with plumping up your bob. At this point, you may also want to rub on some anti-frizz serum to smooth out your hair and achieve the sleekness of Viola's style.
The next part is where you use your blowout skills. Work your brush downward through sections of your hair while applying heat from your hair dryer. And when you've achieved the bouncy bob you're going, finish it all off with some hair spray.
